Tumblr freaked out at first but then she realized it’s really not that bad.

DOWNLOAD AUDIO FILES FROM TUMBLR (WITH SCREENSHOTS)

jemstyles:

the original post is here: http://jemstyles.tumblr.com/post/47852979864/download-audio-files-from-tumblr

(also: how to download videos off tumblr)

my screenshots are pretty suckish but i hope they work for you guys. i guess they could look bigger if you click on the picture on a new window or something. i’m not sure how this works but yeah. let me know if something’s wrong or whatever and i’ll my best to help. :)

1. after reblogging the audio post, go to your music post on your blog. (for this tutorial, i will use the mp3 post which is harry’s new lil twist on kiss you)

2. click the play button then hit pause.

image

3. put your cursor by the triangle and then right click on your mouse

4. click “Inspect Element”

image

5. a window will appear from the bottom of chrome showing the html contents of that page

image

6. CTRL+F on your keyboard

7. type “audio/mp3”

image

8. a part should be highlighted in yellow.

image

9. click somewhere blank so the yellow highlight will vanish (while doing this i found out it’s hard to make the yellow vanish so just click on cancel)

image

10. the link will remain underlined. right click on the mp3 file’s direct link.

11. or left click, actually. just click the link.

image

12. you will see this

image

13. right click on the player itself and this will show

image

save the mp3 file anywhere you want.

and that’s it! i hope the screenshots work for you guys. so there. :)

i recently figured out how to download videos off tumblr. it’s over HERE

What was the original purpose of this website

It was a place made for hipsters, but everything changed when the fandoms attacked.

People may or may not have noticed, but the Razer drawing I posted here changes depending on whether you’re viewing from the Dashboard or the Blog. If you reblog it, it should in theory appear as Red Lantern Razer on your dash, and Blue Lantern Razer when you look back at your blog.

This maaaay not always work, I can’t guarante success here. And it was handy I had a couple empty blogs. But I can imagine a number of uses for this kind of sneaky surprising.

Special Thanks go to alcnolien for finding that Dipper post for me. And a BIG Thank You goes to bgrevln8fu for basically figuring it out first and telling me how to do it!

An interesting experiment in how Tumblr handles content on the backend!

Two Sides of Tumblr
omg this took forever but i’m so glad to be done. i don’t even know what to say about this ok but click to enlarge

Hipster and Fandom Karp were twin sisters and mortal enemies. Hipster never stopped talking about how she was born first, and Fandom took revenge by constantly stealing Hipster’s stuff, or interpreting everything she said as something completely unintended. Generally, they ignored each other, a feat made easier by the fact that Hipster slept at night (in fact, she liked to go to bed and wake up early, before anyone else, and enjoy the solitude) and Fandom was mostly nocturnal. They would literally pass each other in the kitchen at 5am, Fandom putting away the dishes from her midnight snack before going to bed and Hipster dressed for the day, armed with her camera, ready to go take a walk in the pre-dawn light. They would nod at each other, maybe say hi, then go their separate ways.
They understood each other better than anyone else. Hipster had a group of  associates with whom she spent time discussing deep things; she usually updated her blog via phone. Fandom rarely left the house, but chatted constantly (by typing) with people across the world. Yet ultimately, it was each other who they leaned on when the Zuckerberg kids across the street laughed at their apparent lack of friends, or when (god forbid) stupid, low-tech people were accidentally involved. Because Fandom could get just as deep as Hipster, and Hipster could just just as intense about things as Fandom, and they were sisters.
